Microlight sport aircraft have arrived at Wolverhampton Airport bringing with them a friendly face to the intimidating world of aviation. Microlighting puts the fun back into flying but today it also has a serious kick to it - imagine travelling in a straight line at over 120 mph, you can seriously go places, or serenely meandering the skies at 60mph. With the advent of high performance sport aircraft we have established a new flight training centre specifically catering for this class of aircraft. We primarily train on the Ikarus C42, a superbly stable high performance aircraft which comes as either a microlight or VLA (Very Light Aircraft). The C42 is recognised throughout Europe as the foremost ultralight (sport aircraft) trainer. Our experienced instructor examiners have flown and instructed on a wide variety of aircraft including all the current U.K. trainers and found the C42 stood a head above the rest.
