Cross Country was founded in 1988 by Sherry Thevenot, a Californian who’d moved to Dijon, France. Flying in Europe and travelling the world as an FAI official, Sherry felt that an international forum was needed for pilots to stay in touch with the latest happenings in the global flying community. Cross Country is published in English, with Chinese and Japanese licensed editions, and continues to strive to be the world’s leading international hang gliding and paragliding magazine. Cross Country also publishes books, calendars and DVDs for the free flying community.
