Bikers in the Sky is a bike fest with a difference. It is the brainchild of the guys at www.lovetheair.com , the main Irish web site for Paramotoring and is essentially the merging of Bikes and Paramotoring. They have contracted Funireland.com Event Management for co-ordination of this very special and unusual festival. This festival is also run to benefit cancer research. What is Paramotoring? Powered paragliding is a form of ultralight aviation where the pilot wears a small motor on his/her back and runs into the air with lift from a paraglider wing. In many countries, including the United States, it is minimally regulated and requires no license. The low and slow flying capability, 'open' feel, portability, low equipment and maintenance costs, and safety aspects for this type of flying are its greatest merits. Because of the unique and free nature of this type of “flying” it has literally taken off with the Biker community hence the name Bikers in the Sky.
The freedom of flying one of these spectacular machines is second to none. The guys at www.lovetheair.com complete training courses and also help you get started in this the easiest and cheapest entry into flying that can be found anywhere. The festival at the Tipperary Racecourse will have Paramotoring displays, instruction demos, Bike Shows and displays, Biker pit stop challenges, Biking exhibitions, tattoo experts, live entertaintertainment and much much more. for more info, Click here |
