UK Championship Successes |

The UK has been one of the world’s most successful gliding nations in recent years. Since the turn of the century, Britain has produced no fewer than eight world champions and has recorded a total of 16 top 3 finishes.
Britain is consistently rated No 1 in the International Gliding Commission’s world rankings and, currently, has 7 pilots in the top 20 individual rankings.
Andy Davis is the current World Champion in the Standard Class and, at the World Junior Championships held in August 2005, the UK team made a clean sweep of the medals in the blue riband standard class.
Pete Harvey is the current European Champion in the Open Class, having dominated the competition, along with his team mate and defending champion Russell Cheetham, from the start.
